I just offered my first practice extraordinary form low Mass in our chapel this afternoon. It will take me some time to be graceful with all the gestures and to associate the gestures closely with the prayers. I’ve also got some memorizing to do!
When I’m in Mexico, I’ll probably practice the ordinary form of the Roman Rite Mass in Spanish. This year, it would be great to learn the roles of Subdeacon and Deacon at solemn high Mass as well.

I’ve got a couple videos of me doing a dry Mass in the OF. I’m out Practice of Christian Ritual course I got perfect marks on it and our professor was a very tough marker. Now I’d love to be able to do what you are doing. The local FSSP priest has offered to assist me. I might have to take him up on his offer. |

We have a chapel set up for easy X4 Masses / practice at Kenrick. I had been going to use my Missal, but its tabs are all missing (it’s old). I have a ‘65 Missal in better condition, but I wanted to keep this thing ‘62. At some point, I’ll have to get a ‘62 Missal nice enough that I could use it for a real Mass. |

Jefferson City has a couple of priests who can celebrate the X4, and we have had some Masses at the shrine in Starkenburg. I don’t know for sure what the future holds.. I don’t know whether it’s in Des Moines, but Zach Kautzky, who is in my class, is from Des Moines, so I’ll try to remember to ask him. |
